Join our team: we are hiring a cnc lathe operator in Newcastle upon Tyne, England. The job is at an auto-components manufacturing unit. On the job you will handle: • Top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed • Run facing, turning, boring, grooving and threading cycles • Set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54) • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish What we are looking for: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
