Vacancy available: we are hiring an elevator repair technician in Kankakee County, Illinois. The role involves: • Run load and overload tests with test weights • Replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays • Adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy • Measure rope tension and check for broken strands • Respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers • Rope up the traction machine and reeve the hoisting cables What we are looking for: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota • Working knowledge of EN 81 / IS 14665 lift safety standards Rotating shifts.
