Brick and block layer • Holt County, Nebraska

Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Holt County, Nebraska. Day to day you will building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Own trowel, spirit level and basic hand tools Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
