Safety officer • Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety officer in Saint Tammany Parish, Louisiana. You will be based at an oil and gas facility. Requirements: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces The role involves: • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports • Enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment 5+ years on the tools preferred.
