Argon welder — Jay County

Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Jay County, Indiana. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) The role involves: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
