Join our team: we are hiring a bricklayer in Henry County, Iowa. You should have: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) Day to day you will buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel. Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. $5,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours.
