Now hiring: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Genesee County, Michigan. The role involves grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion. Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 5+ years on the tools preferred.
