Now hiring: we are hiring a steel fixer in Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, Alaska. You will work on an infrastructure project such as a metro or flyover. What we are looking for: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling Day-to-day duties: • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Pay around $16 per hour, based on your experience. Contact us to fix an interview.
