Shakeout operator • Fannin County, Georgia

Vacancy available: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Fannin County, Georgia. The job is at a busy iron foundry. What we are looking for: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
