Immediate opening: we are hiring a tig welder in Knox County, Texas. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. What we are looking for: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day On the job you will handle: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle Six days a week, one day off.
