Nursery worker • City of Hampton, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a nursery worker in City of Hampton, Virginia. You will be based on the grounds of a hotel resort. On a typical shift you will spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; rake up fallen leaves, grass clippings and garden waste; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; dig over and turn the soil and prepare seedbeds; cut back tree branches and clear overhanging limbs. What we are looking for: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Happy to work outdoors in all weather 4+ years on the tools preferred. Part-time with flexible hours.
