Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
