Argon arc welder wanted in Tioga County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Tioga County, New York. Your main tasks: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
