Immediate opening: ladle pourer (Kansas)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Allen County, Kansas. The role involves pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Requirements: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
