What we are looking for: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Valid digital tachograph card Day-to-day duties: • Secure loads with ratchet straps, chains and load bars • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Check load weight and axle distribution against permitted limits • Operate tail-lifts and pump trucks during loading and unloading • Plan routes and rest stops in line with driving-hours rules • Present documents at weighbridges and check posts Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
