Turning centre operator — Blackburn with Darwen

Ideal candidate: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Willing to work rotating day and night shifts • Comfortable standing for long shifts and lifting up to 20 kg Your main tasks: • Adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish • Deburr and chamfer machined parts by hand • Measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers • Load and index turning tools in the turret • Read engineering drawings and interpret GD&T tolerances • Write and edit G-code programs at the control Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
