Shakeout operator • Pueblo County, Colorado

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Pueblo County, Colorado. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
