Great opportunity: we are hiring a formwork erector in City of Roanoke, Virginia. You will work at a precast concrete yard. You should have: • Able to keep pace with tight pour schedules • Able to read formwork and structural drawings • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking Day to day you will fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; box out openings for doors, windows and service penetrations; fix stop ends and kickers at the construction joints; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour.
