Wood machinist • Greenup County, Kentucky

Now hiring: we are hiring a wood machinist in Greenup County, Kentucky. You will be based in a cabinet-making workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Assemble bespoke and flat-pack kitchen units and fit worktops • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Build and erect roof trusses, rafters and stud partitions • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers • Good eye for detail and a clean finish Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
