Track-type tractor operator — Borough of Stockport

Vacancy available: we are hiring a track-type tractor operator in Borough of Stockport, England. You will be based at a civil contractor's yard. On the job you will handle: • Follow GPS and laser grade control to hit design levels • Push-load motor scrapers during bulk earthmoving • Rip hard ground and rock using the rear ripper shank • Operate crawler dozers to push and spread fill across the site • Cut and fill ground to the levels marked on the grade stakes • Spread imported fill in even layers ready for compaction You should have: • Knowledge of daily greasing and pre-start inspections • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and uneven terrain • Willing to work on remote sites and rotating rosters Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
