Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Alger County, Michigan. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day to day you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; grind back and re-weld any defective runs. At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. $190 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time with occasional weekends. Contact us to fix an interview.
