On a typical shift you will check and top up coolant, brake fluid and power-steering fluid; replace clutch plates and gearbox components; estimate repair costs and order the right parts; replace alternators, starter motors and batteries; carry out wheel alignment and tyre balancing; road-test vehicles to confirm the repair.
