Immediate opening: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in Bedford County, Virginia. The job is in an open-cast quarry. Requirements: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites Day-to-day duties: • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
