Stainless steel welder — Knox County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Knox County, Kentucky. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. Day to day you will grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions; prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
