Ideal candidate: • Comfortable working with dust, noise and spray fumes • Attention to detail and a clean, even finish • Steady hand for filler work and block sanding Day to day you will replace damaged doors, wings, bonnets and bumpers; read insurance damage reports and assessor estimates; straighten chassis and frames on a jig bench with pulling chains; mix and spread body filler, then block-sand to a smooth contour; measure and set panel gaps for an even shut line; feather-edge old paint and prime bare metal before respray. $3,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
