Safety officer wanted in City of Norfolk

Immediate opening: we are hiring a safety officer in City of Norfolk, Virginia. The job is in a chemical processing unit. You will enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges; investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Minimum 2-3 years on construction or factory sites • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills Pay around $3,800 per month, based on your experience.
