Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in Butte County, California. Day-to-day duties: • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards 3+ years on the tools preferred.
