Now hiring: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Dunukofia, Anambra State. Requirements: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On the job you will handle: • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser Full-time with occasional weekends.
