Sand plant operator • Robeson County, North Carolina

We are recruiting: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Robeson County, North Carolina. You will be based in the fettling and dressing shop. The role involves: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together Ideal candidate: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $4,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
