Machinist — Grand Traverse County

Join our team: we are hiring a machinist in Grand Traverse County, Michigan. Ideal candidate: • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Day to day you will topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; press open seams or use a folder/binder attachment for bound edges; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Contact us to fix an interview.
