Brick mason wanted in Allen County

Now hiring: we are hiring a brick mason in Allen County, Kansas. You will be based on a scaffolded high-rise site. Your main tasks: • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish Ideal candidate: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
