Great opportunity: safety marshal (Michigan)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a safety marshal in Mecosta County, Michigan. The job is at a busy construction site. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations Day-to-day duties: • Inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height • Record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date • Carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift • Take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry • Update the risk register and method statements (RAMS) • Deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
