Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fettler in McIntosh County, North Dakota. You will be based on the moulding line. Ideal candidate: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Your main tasks: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
