Blocklayer wanted in Bedford County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a blocklayer in Bedford County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Your main tasks: • Setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts We offer $5,200 per month plus benefits.
