Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements On the job you will handle: • Lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
