Now hiring: gang bricklayer (Mississippi)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Franklin County, Mississippi. You will be based at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder • Forming arches, piers and reveals around openings • Checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building cavity walls and bedding in wall ties and insulation Requirements: • CSCS card or willingness to obtain one • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks Overtime paid at a premium rate.
