Bar bender and fixer — Charlotte County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Charlotte County, Florida. Day-to-day duties: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder You should have: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
