Immediate opening: we are hiring an estate gardener in Huerfano County, Colorado. You will work on the grounds of a hotel resort. Ideal candidate: • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • An eye for detail and a tidy, well-kept finish On a typical shift you will check and adjust sprinkler timers and irrigation heads; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease. 3+ years on the tools preferred.
