Foundry labourer • Whiteside County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a foundry labourer in Whiteside County, Illinois. You will be based at a brass and bronze foundry. What we are looking for: • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day-to-day duties: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Full-time with occasional weekends. Overtime paid at a premium rate. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
