GTAW welder — Clay County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Clay County, Alabama. You will sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding Part-time with flexible hours. Overtime paid at a premium rate.
