Counter butcher — Bossier Parish

We are recruiting: we are hiring a counter butcher in Bossier Parish, Louisiana. You will work at a wholesale meat market. On a typical shift you will run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; mince meat and prepare keema on the grinder; weigh, price and label cuts for the display case; sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts. You should have: • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate 5+ years on the tools preferred. We offer $3,700 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
