Banksman — Chittenden County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a banksman in Chittenden County, Vermont. You will work on an offshore oil and gas platform. The role involves: • Inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Read lift plans and method statements before starting • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift • Fit tag lines to control and steady suspended loads • Coordinate tandem and multi-crane lifts with the signaller What we are looking for: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Willing to work shifts, weekends and outdoors in all weather Rotating shifts.
