Immediate opening: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Macon County, Tennessee. You will be based on a housing development site. Day-to-day duties: • Excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs • Track the machine on and off low-loaders for transport • Keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly • Swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger • Backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance Ideal candidate: • Confident working to fine grade and tight tolerances • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
