Vacancy available: gas commissioning technician (Illinois)

Now hiring: we are hiring a gas commissioning technician in Adams County, Illinois. The job is on commercial and industrial sites. Day-to-day duties: • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Set and adjust regulator outlet pressure with a gauge What we are looking for: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $170 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
