Urgent requirement: fabricator-welder (Michigan)

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Alcona County, Michigan. You will work in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Your main tasks: • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) What we are looking for: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height 6+ years on the tools preferred.
