Argon arc welder wanted in Nassau County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Nassau County, New York. You will work on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination Six days a week, one day off.
