Excavator operator • City of Covington, Virginia

Great opportunity: we are hiring an excavator operator in City of Covington, Virginia. You will be based in a demolition and site-clearance yard. The role involves inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; grade, level and batter slopes to the required gradient; backfill trenches and compact the fill in layers; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; load spoil into tippers and dumpers cleanly without spillage. You should have: • Physically fit for long hours in the cab on outdoor sites • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,300 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
