Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal press operator in Knox County, Maine. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout • Physically fit to stand a full shift and lift blanks up to 20 kg • ITI in fitter, machinist or sheet metal trade preferred Day to day you will check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; feed blanks into the die and remove formed parts; watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts; run the press using two-hand controls and foot pedal safely; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways.
