Immediate opening: we are hiring a banksman in Central Bedfordshire, England. The job is on a high-rise building site. You will check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle. What we are looking for: • Ability to read lift plans and rigging diagrams • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 4+ years on the tools preferred.
