Fusing press operator • Saint Martin Parish, Louisiana

We are recruiting: we are hiring a fusing press operator in Saint Martin Parish, Louisiana. You will be based in a garment export house. You should have: • 1-2 years' experience pressing garments in a factory • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment On the job you will handle: • Give each garment a final press before packing • Clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Use a pressing cloth to protect delicate fabrics • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
